Pastor W. D. Brewer, age 68 of Huntland, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2022, at his residence. W.D. was born on January 10, 1954, to the late Robert S. Brewer and Hattie C. (Scott) Brewer. In 1985, he was called to be the Pastor Elora Pentecostal Church, where he is currently the “Preacha”. There was nothing W.D. could not do. He would play guitar and sing when he had the opportunity to, seeing smiles and hearing the laughter from those who had just heard one of his famous jokes. In his spare time, you could find him listening to gospel or blue grass music, watching westerns, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, J.C. Brewer, H.L. Brewer and R.E. Brewer; sisters, Eva Nell Bradford and Barbara Brewer. W.D. is survived by his wife of nine years, Marie Brewer; children, Curt (Judy) Brewer, Alisa Herrell, Kane (Mandy) Rigsby and Kim (Bryan) Locke; grandchildren, Joshua (Johanna) Reeves, Michelle (A.J.) Seidmein, Justin Wilson, Leo Herrell, Mackenzie, Abbigail, Zachary, Skyler, Olivia Rigsby and Paisley and Briley Locke; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Vivian (Paul) Nichelson, Katie (Stanley) McKinn, Doris (Dale) Nichelson, Dolly (AL) Brannon, Bonnie (Randy) Gibson; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 1:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Pastor, Fabron Nichelson and Pastor David Lovett “Preacha” the service.
