Charles H. “Tangle-eye” Morton, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022, in Summertown, Tennessee.
Charles was born in Hickman County on April 16, 1941, to the late Elbert Morton and Ethel Malugin Morton. He was one of many siblings in his family that was raised in Maury County.
Charles was a hard worker, dedicating many years to Mealer Trucking in Lewisburg until his retirement.
Charles is survived by his children: Steve (Kelley Grooms) Morton, Timothy Michael “Bubba” Morton, Tina Marie Morton, Jonathan Anderson; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one special great-grandchild: Jayden Mack Sullivan.
In addition to his parents, Charles is also preceded in death by his son, Charles Edward “Eddie” Morton.
The family will receive friends and visitors at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 12:00 Noon. To follow, Charles will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
