On Tuesday, March 29, 2022 the Tuscumbia Police Department was notified of a stolen vehicle out of Mississippi traveling on Hwy 72 in Tuscumbia. A few minutes later a Tuscumbia Police Officer located the stolen vehicle in the area of Woodward Ave and 6th St inside the city limits of Muscle Shoals traveling northbound.
The Officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop at the intersection of Woodward Ave and Avalon Ave but the stolen vehicle fled from the Officer. The stolen vehicle then turned west onto Avalon Ave.
A Muscle Shoals Police Officer spotted the pursuit and attempted to assist the Tuscumbia Officer.
However, as the stolen vehicle reached the intersection of Avalon Ave and Broadway Ave, the stolen vehicle crashed into 3 other vehicles. This ended the pursuit.
The ALEA State Troopers are in charge of this case and we ask that all inquires be forwarded to them.”
