Mr. William Agee McReynolds, age 83, of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Generations of Vernon.
Mr. McReynolds was born June 11, 1938, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Robert Ira and Lula Mitchell McReynolds. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard, and after his retirement, Mr. McReynolds went on to help manage grocery stores. He was a member of Mt. Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. McReynolds was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon McReynolds, J.C. McReynolds, Bobby McReynolds, and Arnolds McReynolds, and two sisters, Clara Cicero and Sue Paul.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 18, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary Seay and Bro. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Martha McReynolds, of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Tammy (Glen) Bardon, of Vernon, AL; one son, Tim (Pam) McReynolds, of Sulligent, AL; two grandchildren, Derek (Ashley) McReynolds, of Guin, AL, and Mallory (Jeremy) Denton, of Vernon, AL; one step-grandson, Brad (Brandee) Adams, of Ozark, AL; three great-grandchildren, Anna Rose and Remington McReynolds, and Cora Grace Denton; two step-great-grandchildren, Chase and Tanner Adams; one sister, Betty Brock; and a host of nieces and nephews.
