Jay Loren “Pop Pops” Goodman, 60, of Iuka, Mississippi died Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Goodman was a retired aviation technician for the U.S. Navy and liked to spend his days playing computer games. He especially enjoyed playing World of Warships. He was a member of the Doink clan and is currently ranked 79th in the world. When not playing games, he loved to spend time with his family and to get coffee at Shell. Mr. Goodman is survived by his two daughters, Kristen Cary(Ross) and Tonia Gerdez; his son, Aaron Goodman(Beth); his brother, Robert Goodman; his niece, Rebecca Calvary(Cam), his great-nephew, Elijah Faulkner; and seven grandchildren, Collin Cary, Reign Greely, Gabriel Goodman, Athena Gerdez, Arabella Gerdez, Caleb Cary, and Freya Goodman. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia Goodman; and his parents, Seymore Goodman and Judith Midkiff. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Services are scheduled immediately after at 11:00 a.m. at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Corinth National Cemetery.
