Sheffield Police Make Drug Arrest After Traffic Stop

SHEFFIELD-The Sheffield Police Department issued a statement concerning a traffic stop and an unresponsive occupant of the car which resulted in two arrests as well as a gun and drugs:

“On Monday, March 7 at approximately 2:00 PM, Officers were dispatched to an unresponsive male subject in a vehicle.

Officers immediately removed the subject for medical treatment. After investigation a handgun was located under the driver. Officers received information on the call that a female passenger hid something in the trunk of the vehicle before officers arrived. After further investigation, Officer Cook located over a hundred grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and multiple drug paraphernalia.

The female passenger was taken into custody at the scene. Both the driver and passenger face multiple charges. ****All suspects are innocent until proven guilty **** Names are not released at this time because this is an ongoing investigation.”
