Charles Marvin Preston, age 90 of Lynchburg, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Moore County, he was born on August 18, 1931, to the late James Houston and Beth Wilda (Clark) Preston. Marvin served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. After his service, he worked in production at Wilson Sporting Goods until his retirement. He loved to be working on his farm and did so until he got sick. Marvin was a member of Brandon’s Chapel Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Dee Miller Cease and second wife, Martha Jean Click Preston. Marvin is survived by his loving children, Don (Regina) Preston, Karen Wilder, and Frank (Chris) Preston; grandchildren, Jody Preston, Wanda Sharp, Vickie Bearden, Dusty Wilder, Jonathan Armstrong, Kristy Thomas, and Travis Bryan; great-grandchildren, Daisy Preston, Dillion Wilder, Teresa Bearden, Dusty Wilder Jr, Tristin Laryan, Hannah Bryan, Isbell Bryan, Emma Bryan, and Brooklyn Bryan; and great-great-grandchildren, Wayland Wilder and Willie Bearden.
