Mrs. Pearlie Lee “Easie” Pewitte ClarkMother Pearlie Lee “Easie” Pewitte Clark, was born to the late John Pewitte and Claudine Pewitte on November 6, 1944 in Haywood County, Tennessee. On the early morning of March 2, 2022, she gained her wings to go to be with the Lord.

She was a devoted Christian as she professed her hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and joined London Branch Baptist Church. Upon moving to Denmark, Tennessee she joined Bethlehem No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member. Later in life she returned to her home church of London Branch, where she remained until her death. She was a faithful servant of the Usher Board, Mother’s Board and Pastor Aid Committee.

She attended Haywood County Public Schools. She was employed as a nurse aid and a passionate cook until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ozell Clark; parents: John and Claudine Pewitte; siblings: John Lee, Raymond, Willie T., Ernest Cleve, James, Charles, and Cora Ethel.

She leaves to cherish her memory four children: Pam Faulkner of Denmark, Tennessee, Rose Wilkes of Nashville, Tennessee, Gregory (Denise) Pewitte of Jackson, Tennessee and Willie Pewitte of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; four sisters: Nellie Guyton of Denmark, Tennessee, Shirley Grimes of Oklahoma, Sarah (Curtis) Goyer and Janice (Elvis) Phelps both of Jackson, Tennessee; brother: Alexander Vantrese of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters-in-laws: Lavern Pewitte of Denmark, Tennessee and Bonita Pewitte of Jackson, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
