Funeral services for Mr. Gary Tate, age 61, are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, February 27, 2022 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery. Mr. Tate passed away on Thursday in Memphis. He was born January 11, 1961 in Henderson County to the late William and Mary Hensley Tate. Mr. Tate was a custodian at Caywood Elementary School and loved spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Tate. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mrs. Dalene Maness Tate; his son, Brian Tate (Tiffany); two daughters, Kristie and Stephanie Tate; his sister, Shelia Parrish; brother-in-law, Pete Maness; three sisters-in-law, Angela McPeake (Eddie), Carol Parker (Benny), and Teresa Roberts (Glen); seven grandchildren, Eli Patterson, Landon Tate, Aleeah Tate, Allianna Tate, Aubrey Tate, Brilee Wood, and Addison Tate; and a great grandchild on the way. The family will receive friends on Friday 5-9 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 9 PM; and on Sunday 10 AM – 2 PM.
