Mr. Charles Michael KelleyCharles “Charlie” Michael Kelley of Guntersville, the Georgia Mtn. Area passed away on
Wednesday, February 23,2022.
Mr. Kelley was born on May 4, 1949, in Marshall County, Alabama to Bryan “Buster” O’Neal and Savola Slaten Kelley. Mr. Kelley proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a superintendent for Cargill in Guntersville and retired after 31 years of service. He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church where he served on the Cemetery Committee. He enjoyed raising German shepherds, riding his motorcycle, spending time outdoors and helping others in the church and community.
Mr. Kelley leaves behind his wife, Christy Kelley; son, Charles Joshua (Josh) Kelley (Tasha); daughters, Crystal Christian (Nick), Jennifer Childers (Michael);brothers, O’Neal Kelley (Martha), Ray Kelley, Richard Kelley (Ruth), James Kelley, Steve Kelley; sisters, Vickie Gant, Brenda Kelley; grandchildren, Sydney, Sadie and Sophia Kelley, Emerson and Abigail Christian, Baylee, Charlee and Dallas Childers, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is his parents; Bryan “Buster” and Savola Kelley; brothersWilliam and Don Kelley.
A visitation will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Family from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.).
Mr. Kelley will lie-in-state on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sweet Home Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with PastorsTim Lynch and Tim Nabors officiating the service. Pallbearers escorting Mr. Kelley are, Jack Campbell, Gary Chamblee, Charlie Connor, Bob Glass, Michael Ridgway,and Robert Whisenant.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
