Eddie Wade Cantrell, 68, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Hackleburg, AL and worked in law enforcement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be Sunday, February 20, 3:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Lloyd Griffus and Stephen Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in Hodges Cemetery, Hodges, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife – Angel Cantrell; two daughters – Selena Cantrell and Christa Anderson (Derrick) and their mother, Cheryl Reed; step-son – Chris Gray (Jennifer); grandchildren – Jaxton West, Jamal Anderson (Mackenzie), Kilee Roberts (Mason), Boston Till, Autumn Till, Lucas Gray and Logan Gray; two great-grandchildren – Emmett Hightower and Elliana Roberts; one brother – Earl Wayne Cantrell (Anita); special nieces – Vanessa Vargas and Mindy Cantrell; a host of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law – Cressoline Cantrell; sister and brother-in-law – Traci and Danny Millem and his mother-in-law, Mary Dodson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Maxine Verdict Cantrell and a brother, O’Neal Cantrell.
Pallbearers will be Chris Gray, Jamal Anderson, Jerry Lee Davis, Danny Millem, Jr., Stacy Cantrell and Stephen Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Hutcheson, Paul Clingan and Jaxton West.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 20, 12:30-3:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
