Melanie Lynne Massey Sherrow, 61, of Madison, AL, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. She was born on May 23, 1960, at Fort Lee, VA, the daughter of the late LTC USA Marvin H. Massey and Audrey Derryberry Massey, both natives of Columbia, TN.
As a military child, Melanie attended 14 schools in 12 years, from Hawaii and New York City to Germany. Always a new kid on the block, she was a survivor whose determination helped her defeat several major health crises later in life.
Melanie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Robert Manfred Sherrow of Athens, AL; her father, and her brother, Michael Howard Massey of Huntsville, AL.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Cathrynne Sherrow of Madison, one son, Robert (Jessica) Sherrow of Montevallo, AL; mother, Audrey Massey of Owens Cross Roads, AL; two sisters, Mikala (Steve) Howard of Lebanon. TN, and Merri Beth Massey of Owens Cross Roads; three grandchildren and eight nephews and nieces.

Melanie will be greatly missed by many who loved her dearly.
Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville is in charge of cremation. A private remembrance will be held at a later date by family members.
