Shelby Overby departed this life on Monday, February 7, 2022, at the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 27 days. She was born in Winston, North Carolina, on October 11, 1950, the daughter of the late Walter Thomas Overby and Willie Mary Edwood Overby. The family moved on to Virginia where she grew up and later she graduated high school and went on to a cooking school. Shelby would say her greatest achievement was when she became a Dietitian in high school.
Shelby loved birthday parties, “hers especially”, she also loved watching old Elvis Presley movies, and watching the Country Music channel. She had worked at a Motor Oil and Transmission factory where they bottled the oil.
Shelby is survived by her nursing home family at Harbert Hills Nursing Home. They were her family and loved her until she was called Home.
