Janice Marie Carnell, age 65 of Lewisburg, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was born on April 30, 1956 in Lima, OH to the late Milton and Marie Hay Jett. Jan loved taking care of her family and was known to everyone as “mama”. She loved to laugh and watch TV. Jan will be remembered as a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Carnell. She is survived by her children, Jason (Sandi) Mills, Jeremy Auspitz and Justin (Tabitha) Carnell; grandchildren, Cheyenne and Marshall Carnell, Shae Auspitz, Mya Mills (Tanner), Jada Scarfone; great grandson, Bentley Derryberry; siblings, Nancy (Clifford) Shelton, Sue Lara Potts, Linda Jett, Ray (Lynne) Jett, and Ronnie (Emma) Jett; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 11:00am in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
