Kathleen Scott Turchetta, 70, of Huntsville passed away Monday after a short illness from Covid.

Kathleen was born in Cleveland, OH, raised in Parma, OH, and moved to Huntsville in 1978. She married her high school sweetheart in 1969. Kathleen never met a stranger, her door was always open, and her family and grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Gary Turchetta; children, Kellie Turchetta, Gary S. Turchetta (Reneé), Tracie Johnston (Mike), and Elizabeth O’Halloran (Chris); grandchildren, Jacob Cohen, Gavin Ridgway (Cagan), Alec Cohen, Ryan O’Halloran, Aidan O’Halloran, Collin O’Halloran, Carter Johnston, Aaron Johnston, Aislin Patterson, Brendan Turchetta, and Carley Turchetta; great-grandchildren, Blakely Ridgway, Avery Kathleen Ridgway, and Maisey Ridgway; brothers, Thomas Scott (Susan), and Gerald Scott (Kathy); nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Betty Scott; sister, Nancy Holztrager; and niece, Erin Holtzrager Street.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 17 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 18 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Tim Pfander officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clearview Cancer Institute.
