Dorothy Gordon Bentley, 92, of Athens, passed away on Friday, February 11th, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Bentley was born on January 11th, 1930, to John Michael and Wavy Clem Gordon.
Mrs. Bentley is survived her son Michael A. “Butch” Bentley (Linda); daughters Kay Bentley Kelly (Michael); and Alan Bentley (Honey); grandchild Jordan Kelly Porter (Chris); great-grandchild Kade Alexander Porter; brothers Malcolm Gordon and Gene Gordon (Eunice); and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Wavy Gordon; and her husband Kirkland Bentley.
The funeral service for Mrs. Bentley will be Tuesday, February 15th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral home, with Eddie Littrell and Michael Kelly officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15th, from 11:00 to 12:50 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chris Porter, David Gordon, Randy Gordon, Edwin Smith, Jason Thomas, and Billy Hargrove. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
