Johnie Edgar Coles “John”, age 76 of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Saturday, February 12th, at 1:00PM with Bro. Jason Bell officiating. Burial will follow at EverRest of Cheatham with Don Felts, Kevin Neal, Richie Harris, Bryant Harris, Brad Galbreath, Troy Galbreath, Richard Rediker, Jr., and Joe Brundige serving as pallbearers. Donald “Buster” Felts, Troy Galbreath, Sr., Randy Harris, David Eads, Jerry “Tinker” Binkley, Travis, Eddie, Charles, and Dale Brown, will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-8PM, Friday, February 11th and again on Saturday from 11:00am until the hour of service at 1:00pm.

Mr. Coles was born on December 12, 1945 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Jimmie & Mary Lou Mills. He was a retired truck driver for UPS and was retired from the United States Army having served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Neal Coles; brother, Joseph Coles; and sister, Jackie Griffin.

Survivors include his son, Jonathan Coles; sister, Judy (John) Mills; brother-in-law, Wayne Griffin; sister-in-law, Dianne Coles; loving nieces & nephews, Angela & Kimberly Griffin, Jenn (Michael) Rains, Sherri (Robert) Banovatz, Karen (Troy) Galbreath, Beth (Randy) Harris, Don (Pam) Felts, Kevin (Melissa) Neal; great-nieces & great-nephews, Richie Harris, Brad (Lacey) Galbreath, Bryant Harris, Brianna (Jacob) McCoy, Karlie & Emma Felts, Troy (Rachel) Galbreath, and Kristi (Richard, Jr.) Rediker.
