Funeral service for Mrs. Inez B. Clark, age 79 of Lineville, will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lineville Church of Christ with Josh Posey and Ben Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lineville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. Mrs. Clark was a Clay County native, graduated from Lineville High School, graduated from Jacksonville State University and went on the get her Master’s and AA degrees from Auburn University. She was a lifelong educator, who taught briefly at Bibb Graves High School and at Southern Union Community College, but the majority of her career was spent teaching at Lineville High School where she retired from in the mid-nineties.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jeral Clark of Lineville, two sons, Gary Clark (Neina) and Bobby Clark (Sherri), both of Lineville, her grandchildren, Casey Clark, R J Clark, Jamie Clark, Macey Clark and Adam Clark, her sisters, Burma Bible of Anniston and Martha Denney (Fred) of Oxford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Brown and Bernice Gravett Brown, her sisters, Virginia Barker and Ruth Houston and also her brothers, Cois, Lamar, Jap, and Dan Brown.

Pallbearers will be: Marcus Denney, Chase Williams, Steve Green, Jamie Cosper, R J Clark, and Adam Clark.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville onTuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. and until one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
