Deola Dorothy Hall, age 97 of Decherd, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Stevenson, Alabama on November 12, 1924 to the late Noah Stills and Della (Matthews) Stills. A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed making pillows and quilting by hand. Up until last years, she tended to her vegetable and flower gardens and canned the vegetables she grew. Deola attended Calvary Baptist Church and was devoted to studying her Bible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Hall; son, Rickey Dale Hall; step-daughter, Bonta Gaines; step-son, Thomas W. Hall; sisters, Vernie, Florence, Bessie, Beulah, and Edna; and brothers, David, Clyde, Warnie, and Cecil. Deola is survived by her step-daughter, Paulette (Dan) Davis of Rossville, Georgia; step-grandchildren, T. J. Hall, Christie (Gary) Greeson, Matt (Julie) Davis, Dana (David) Carmody, and Robyn (Caleb) Mask; several great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joyce Stills and Gail Stills; caregivers, Sharon Gipson, Alissa Gipson, and Roger and Patty Stills; and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Pastor John Westerfield officiating. Interment will follow at Mt.
