Funeral for Danny “D. C.” Cowart, 71, of Decatur will be Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gerald Sherrill officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Mr. Cowart, who died Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born, May 15, 1950, to Paul Cowart and Annie Kirby Cowart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter – Jennifer Lacy
Survivors include:
Wife – Carolyn Cowart
Daughters – Fats (BJ Reed) Lancaster, Charlotte (Stanley) Smith, Brenda “Punk” (Darrell) Phillips
Sisters – Margaret Cagle, Donna Smith
10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Phillips, Jerry White, James Cowart, B. J. Reed, Billy Gay, James Gay.
