Joseph Rexford “Rex” Baldwin, 85, died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Atwood, AL and worked in maintenance. He was a member of Hodges First Missionary Baptist Church. Rex was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be Saturday, February 5, 1 p.m. at Hodges First Missionary Baptist Church, Hodges, AL with Bro. Marty Guidry officiating. Burial will be in Old Line Cemetery, Hodges, Al. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years – Shelby Jean Baldwin; two sons – Joseph Richard Baldwin (Sheila) and John Steven Baldwin (Sonyong); five grandchildren – Natasha Hollis (Christopher), Joseph Ryan Baldwin, Kaylee Baldwin, Alex Guidry and Chloe Guidry and two brothers – Kenneth Baldwin and Don Baldwin (Shirley).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cular Baldwin, a brother, Roland Baldwin (Francis); a great-grandson, Sebastin Hollis and a sister-in-law, Edna Baldwin.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 5, 12-1 p.m. at Hodges First Missionary Baptist Church.
