Graveside funeral service for Craig Alan Gilliam, age 52, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Rose Hill Cemetery with Doug Watt officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 7 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home.

Craig was born in Fayetteville on September 27, 1969. He was a stranger to none and a friend to all he met. Mr. Gilliam was a 1987 graduate of Lincoln County High School and joked that he was a graduate at the University of Life School of Hard Knocks. Craig loved anything to do with racing or cars, fishing, BBQ, the Florida Gators, and a former member of the Fayetteville Lions Club. He could fix anything you needed fixed, and he would do it with a smile. Craig passed away on January 24, 2022, at Huntsville Hospital.

Craig left this earth too early, leaving many who loved him. Survivors include his mother, Patsy Gilliam; uncle, Miles (Donna) Phillips; girlfriend, Michelle Hanes; and her children, Brooke (Naoki) Nakajima, Brittany (Tyler Gurley) Walls, Brandon Walls, and Bridgette Walls; grandson, Damian Gurley; cousin, Sissy Atchley; and an adopted brother, Ashton Hahn. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Nix Gilliam, Jr.; grandparents Lenard and Geneva Phillips; and aunt, Linda Phillips.

Memorials may be made to the Fayetteville Lions Club, P.O. Box 217, Fayetteville, TN 37334 or to Operation BBQ Relief, P.O. Box 414378, Kansas City, MO 64141.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Craig Alan Gilliam.
