Funeral Service for Sandra Jean Smith, age 75, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Birmingham will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 starting at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland. Rev. Mark Deason will officiate and burial will follow at Marvin’s Chapel UMC Cemetery.
She was born in Birmingham and spent most of her life in or near Clay County. Sandra was a loving mother and friend. She was a Home Health Care Worker for many years and truly loved caring for others.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda Pecce(Brian) of Goodwater, Kellie Ritchey(Rick) of Sylacauga and Jammey Hoppe(Arley) of Ashland; grandchildren, Jordan(Kendra), Hailey, Jackson, Jonathan, Chris, Jeremiah, Aaron, Faith, Vincent and Gracelyn; great-grandchildren, Phillip, Luke, Emerson and Raina; sisters, Mary Lee(Walter), Ginger Cumbie(Joel) and Nita Jones(Rick); several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean Lee and Vincent Stabile.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 Saturday before the funeral.
