Brandon Lee Barnette, 40, of Athens, AL, passed away on January 21, 2022. Brandon graduated from Hazel Green High School in 2001 and spent the majority of his career as a supervisor with Goodman Manufacturing Company. Some of Brandon’s passions were watching Alabama Crimson Tide football games, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father Lee Barnette. He is survived by his fiancée Amber Gott and her two daughters, Emily and Kaylee Gott; his three daughters, Kyleigh, Sophia, and Addison Barnette; his mother Carol Barnette; his sister Ashley (Todd) Hamerlinck; and several cousins and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday at 2pm Hazel Green Funeral Home in Hazel Green, AL. Following the ceremony there will be a reception at 131 Canopy Rd in Hazel Green, AL. Both the celebration of life and reception are open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
