Mary Merchant, age 81, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Lampkin Cemetery. Bro. Joe Beckon to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Mary was born on March 9, 1940 in Lamar County, AL to the late Bill Miller and the late Janie McClain. She attended Lamar County High School. Mary previously worked at Vernon Manufacturing, Gattman Sportswear and sat with the elderly. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church.
