Mrs. Eva Joyce Shedd Skelton was born March 11, 1951, in Lawrence County, TN the daughter of Margie Ivadell Mattox and the late Rufus Royal Shedd. She was united in marriage to Hooper Skelton Jr. on May 10, 1969. She worked as a homehealth aide. She will be lovingly remembered as a “granny” to anyone and everyone. She always made people feel like they were right at home. She truly was the light of a dark world and made everyone happier just by being around. Mrs. Skelton departed this life on January 19, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 10 Months, 8 Days.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 52 years Hooper Skelton Jr. her children, Chuck Skelton (Jennifer), Tabitha Casteel and Scott Skelton (Anita) all of Waynesboro; 7 grandchildren, Nicole Crews, Madison Skelton, Colby Littrell, Brandon Frazier, Bailey Casteel, Corey Cruce and Chris Cruce; she is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren
In addition to her father, Mrs. Skelton was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Shedd, Mark Shedd
