Mary Lou Beach, 96 of Toney, Alabama passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at her home in Toney, Alabama.
Born Saturday, June 10, 1916 in Ardmore, Alabama she was the daughter of the late William Alex Shannon and the late Maudie Pearl Heard Shannon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.L. Beach; daughter, Reba Cassity; two sisters; Olevie Fulton and Jennie Rogers.
Ms. Beach lived in this area all of her life and was a member of Sweet Springs Baptist Church. She was momma to all her children and others. She loved gardening, flowers, and her constant companion Dolly, which was her Pomerian dog.
Surviving are daughters, Linda Phillips of Toney, AL, Beverly Ramsey of Toney, AL and Kathy McCown of Elkton, TN; sister, Katherine Barlett of Toney, AL; nine Grandchildren, twenty Great-grandchildren, seven Great-Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Dr. Michael Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 4, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL.
Palbearers will be Mrs. Beach’s grandsons and great-grandsons, Ray Staggs, Mike Hamm, Jay Hamm, Jon Lerma, Eric Sanders and Skyler Shultz.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brent Sanders, Corey Thomas, Johnathan Hamm, Ethan Staggs, Levi Shultz and J.J. Lerma.
