Funeral services for Mr. Willard “Dink” Stewart, age 85 of Cragford, will be held Saturday January 15, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Harold McCain officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashland City Cemetery.
Mr. Stewart was born in Alabama and lived in Clay County for most of his Life. Dink retired from Alabama Power, was a pulp-wooder and enjoyed doing mechanic work. He loved to ride and spend time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Nell Stewart of Cragford; son, Jessie Stewart of Cragford; grandchildren, Crystal Stewart, Ricky Stewart, Bubba Stewart and Lorene Porter; six great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Mr. Stewart is preceded by his parents, Hezekiah and Annie B. Stewart; daughter, Louneal Stewart; sisters, Beatrice Hanson, Dorothy Stewart, Mozzell Mitchell; and brothers, Hezekiah Jr, Underwood, Butler and R.B. Stewart.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 14, 2022 from 5:30-8:00 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
