Rickey Lynn Stewart

Rickey Lynn Stewart, 70 of Arab passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at his residence. Rickey was born March 7, 1951, in Arab the son of Glenn Stewart and Edna Swords Stewart. He was a member and deacon of New Friendship Baptist Church. Rickey began working in the funeral industry assisting with funerals and selling pre-need with Arab Memorial Chapel and Blountsville Funeral Home in the early 1990’s and worked at Gober Funeral Chapel several years until his health began to decline.

He is survived by his Wife: Roxanne Singleton Stewart; Son: Chris (Nicole) Stewart; Granddaughter: Charlsie Quinn Stewart; Sisters: Linda Chambers and Peggy Glass; Brothers: James (Faye) Stewart, Charles “Bo” (Carrie) Stewart, Larry (Penny) Stewart and Tommy (Nancy) Stewart. Special Friend: Martha Slaten; He was preceded in death by his Parents: Glenn and Edna Stewart, Sister: Jean Stewart, Brother: W. O. Stewart.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, from the Chapel of Arab Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Daniel Boutwell, Brother Brent Boatwright and Brother Greg Stone officiating, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
