Garland Ann Butler, 72, of Huntsville, passed away on January 4, 2022.
A native of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Garland called Huntsville home since 1965. She was a graduate of Huntsville High School and a retiree of the JC Penney company. Garland was known for having a huge heart who cared for both humans and animals alike. She never turned down helping anyone or animal in need.
Garland was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Aileen Butler, and one brother, Eric Butler. Garland is survived by many, many friends from all walks of life who remember her for her kindness, her honesty, her fierce loyalty, and her truly caring spirit.
Garland will be cremated at Berryhill Funeral Home. On Saturday, January 15, there will be a Receiving of Friends from 2:30-3:30 pm at Berryhill, followed by a short Memorial Service in the Parlor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any animal shelter in Garland’s memory.
