Kenneth E. Gilliland, age 89 of Birmingham formerly of Albertville passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center.
His funeral will be at 12 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at New Home Cemetery. His family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 11:30 until 12 before the service.
He is survived by his wife; Geneva Gilliland, son; Wade Gilliland (Karen), grandchildren; Ryan Gilliland (Ashley) and Cara Velotas (Paul), great-grandchildren; Xander, Simon and Nate Velotas and Emmylou and Maisie Gilliland, brother; Charles Gilliland (Pam), sisters; Myra Wilson and Mildred Morgan, a host of nieces and nephews and special caregiver; ShuMarri Jennings.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Wallace and Edna Gilliland and his sister; Debbie Calhoun.
