Florence Man Charged With Holding Woman Against Her Will

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department reports a case of domestic abuse that resulted in the arrest of one person who has been charged with several charges including Sodomy 1st degree:

“On January 1, 2022, the Florence Police Department was contacted by a female who ran from 1901 Conway Drive Florence.  The female had several injuries and was taken to North Alabama Medical Center.  After an investigation it was determined that the female was being kept at the residence without her consent and being physically and emotionally abused. An arrest warrant was obtained for Richard L Lund, 1901 Conway Drive Florence, AL.  Lund was arrested on January 2, 2022 and charged with

Unlawful Imprisonment 1^st Degree, Sodomy 1^st Degree, Domestic Violence 3^rd Degree (Menacing), and Domestic Violence 2^nd Degree. A search warrant was also obtained and executed by Florence/Lauderdale SWAT on January 2, 2022. After conducting the search, the charge of Attempted Murder was added to his charges on January 3, 2022.  Richard Lund is confined at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $155,000 bond.
