Nellie Evonne Petree, 79, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Sanctuary Hospice. She was born in Fulton, MS to Romie and Emma Garrison Smith. She worked as a house cleaning supervisor for many years and attended Victory Tabernacle Church.
Graveside services will be Monday, January 3, 3:30 p.m. at Berry Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Massey officiating. Burial will be in Berry Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived two sons, Randy Petree and Dennis Petree (Jan); a granddaughter, Aronia Mitchell (Dusty); two great-granddaughters, Abbie and Mikala Mitchell; a great-grandson, Slate Mitchell and two sisters, Peggy Patterson and Abilene Vinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Petree; a sister Betty Sartain and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Roy Mitchell, Dusty Mitchell, Brad Kirk, Aaron Kirk, Slate Mitchell and Dennis Petree.
Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
