Thomas David Smith, 74, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
Mr. Smith was born November 14, 1947 in Birmingham. He was the son of the late Thomas Wilburn Smith, Jr. and Iris Bagby Smith Watson. He attended Butler High School, was on the football team, graduated in 1965 and attended the University of Alabama where he also graduated. After graduation, he served in the US Marine Corps and later retired from the US Army.
He enjoyed duck hunting, pheasant hunting, fly fishing and golfing. Mr. Smith made Huntsville his home for the last 26 years.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wilburn Smith, Jr.
Survivors include his beloved son: Zachary David Smith; mother: Iris Bagby Smith Watson; brother: Walter Scott Smith (Diane); sister: Lisa Smith May (Gerald); nephew: Richard “Tiger” Adams; and niece: Meriweather Adams.
No services are planned. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
