Carl Franklin Brown, age 79 of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his residence. He was born on July 12, 1942 to the late Jim and Mary Ellen Brown. Before his retirement, Carl worked as an electrician. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed cheering for the Tennessee Titans and NASCAR, and was a huge Elvis Presley fan. He also enjoyed fishing, going to estate sales, and collecting antique clocks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Brown, Johnny Brown, Herschel Brown, and David Brown. Carl is survived by his daughter, Patricia Riddle of Decherd; son, Jimmy Dewayne Brown of Shelbyville; brother, Butch Brown of Decherd; sisters, Brenda Brown of Winchester, Geneva Donaldson of Decherd, Mickey Berryhill of Tullahoma, and Mary Ann Bates of Oklahoma; grandson, Thomas Ogle; and granddaughter, Michele Tucker. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 3, 2022 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
