Tommy Wayne Owens, 57, of Huntsville, passed away on Wednesday. He was a loving brother, father, son, and loved fishing and Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Larry Owens Sr. and Gertrude Faye Owens; His brother, John Larry “Johnny” Owens Jr.
Surviving family members include his sons: Tommy Wayne Owens Jr & Larry Dewayne Owens; His daughter, Promise Young; His granddaughter, Alyssa Owens; His grandson, Briley Owens; His brothers, Steve (Jennifer) Owens and Scott (Donna) Owens; His sister-in-law, Rose Owens; He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and one great-niece.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am at the the funeral home with Bro. Erskine Drake officiating. Burial will follow and will be in Prospect Cemetery in Fayetteville.
