Funeral service for Estelle T. Black, 96, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 at Arkadelphia First Baptist Church with interment in Arkadelphia Cemetery, Rev. Harce Swann officiating. The body will lie in state Tuesday at the church from 1-2. Visitation will be Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

Mrs. Black passed away Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021 at Woodland Village Nursing Home. She was born November 23, 1925 to James Oscar & Elmer Omelia Pugh Tolbert. She was the oldest member of Arkadelphia First Baptist Church. She loved quilting, loved watching Braves ballgames, Alabama and Auburn football and Nascar racing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Elmer Tolbert; husband, James “Curt” Black; son, Rondle Black; brothers, Buckle Tolbert, Freeman Tolbert; sisters, Ruby Tolbert, Sudie Ballew, Christine Smith, Opal Swann; granddaughter, Joy Culverhouse; grandsons, Paul Black, Kelly Campbell and Dusty Black; son-in-law, Robert Campbell.
Survivors include her children, Arlin Black, Elaine Campbell, Faron Black, Gala (Allen) Rice; seven grandchildren, Blake Black, Kerry Campbell, Heather Black, Andrew Black, Linda Black, Marty (Jennifer) Rice, Jason Rice; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
