Betty Mae Prince Martin age 81 of Decherd, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Manchester Center for Care. She was born on November 17, 1940 in Franklin County, Tennessee to the late R.D. and Leslie Garner Prince. Mrs. Martin was a devoted member of the Shady Grove Church of the Nazarene in Decherd. She worked for Decherd-Franklin for over twenty years and retired from Wagner. To keep herself busy, she sat with the elderly and cooked wonderful meals for everyone. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and spent quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Martin will be remembered by all as a nice, sweet and loving lady. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Martin; sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and George Sherman; and brother-in-law, Charles Hill. Mrs. Martin is survived by children, Johnny (Daphney) Martin of Decherd and Jennie (Jason) Keith of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Kristen Brewer, Katherine Tucker, Kelsey Heffington, Chad Martin, Haley Goodman, Tyler Keith, Ashley Keith and Casey Martin; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, John D. Prince, Wayne Prince, James (Barbara) Prince, Ronnie (Diane) Prince, Judy (Danny) Coker, Patsy Hill and Norma (Mickey) Barnett. Visitation for Mrs. Martin will be Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5pm – 8pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Mt.
