Phillip R. Morris, age 71 of Estill Springs passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1950 in Winchester to the late Murrell and Rena Davis Morris. He was a US Army veteran and had been employed as a carpenter. He was a simple man who also enjoyed farming. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Howard Morris and son, Randy Morris. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda Morris; children, Rodney Morris and Richard (Tonya) Morris; grandchildren, Hannah Henley, Kaylee Morris and Jase Morris; siblings, Christine Thomas, Dorothy Adams, Donna Winton, Bobby Morris, Marvin Morris and Tim Morris; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, R. D. Glascoe and Randy Davis. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. John Gipson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
