Hermas Lincoln Jones, 90 of Athens, Alabama. March 26, 1931 – December 16, 2021.
There will be a 2PM Graveside Service Wednesday at Roselawn Cemetery with Tim Anderson officiating. Visitation is Wednesday 12noon until 1:30PM at Spry Funeral Home in Athens.
Herman retired as owner of Jones Steel Erectors but continued to use his heavy equipment for hauling dirt and odd and end jobs throughout his life. He was a man that gave to Clements Baptist Church and the Clements Community.
He is preceded in death by wife of 54 years; Emma Ruth Keith Marshall Jones, sons, Randall L. Marshall, Terry Marshall; grandsons, Billy Perry, Brian Bocking, Chad Jones; granddaughter, Harmony Teri Marshall; parents, Grover and Gracie Jones, brothers, Travis, Mitchell, L.C. and Vernon Jones and sister, Celestine Jones McKee.
He is survived by son, David M. Jones (Chris), and daughters, Debra Jones Wintermute, Debra Marshall Alley and Sarah Hilliard (Ken), grandchildren, Josh Jones, Aaron Jones (Autumn) Caleb Jones, Casey Jones, Shelby Wintermute Gaul (Patrick) and Shannon Wintermute White (Jarod), Brent Marshall (Jacquelyn), Aaron Marshall, Emma Marshall, Jeremy Marshall, Craig Bocking (Rachel), Teresa Perry Hand (Bobby), Duresa Perry Newton (Trey). Twenty-four Great Grandchildren, Two Great-Great-Grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
