Rev. Lawrence E. Brooks. Jr. 78 of the Porter community, passed away on Monday Dec. 13, 2021 at his residence.
Brother Brooks was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a retired Baptist minister. He pastored many churches, including Big Creek Baptist. He was a long time Master Electrician.
Funeral services will be Friday Dec. 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm at West Jefferson Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rock Creek Church of God Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Belle Brooks and is son, Terry Allen Brooks.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Brooks; his children, Pam, Susan, Eddie, Becky, Blake and Bobbie Lee; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several other relatives and many friends.
