Jennie Sue Berry Johnston, 80, of Huntsville, passed away early Sunday morning. Jennie was born on September 18, 1941, in Knoxville, Tennessee and was the only child to Earl Harvey Berry and Margurette Kathleen Arthur. Jennie married Dwight Johnston on September 12, 1959, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dwight met Jennie while attending the University of Tennessee and working at the Berry Funeral Home owned by the family. Jennie was a wonderful mother and homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters and a son; daughters, Laurie Englert and husband, Dr. Jack Englert, Lisa Parkes and husband, John Parkes, and Julie Saddler and husband, Rev. Carlos Saddler; son, Rev. James D. Johnston, Jr. and wife, Renee; grandsons, Luke Kelly, Bryan Saddler, James Parkes, Jarrod Parkes, Daniel Englert, Brandon Englert, Israel Johnston, Samuel Johnston and Josiah Johnston; granddaughters, Alexis Parkes Sowers and Elizabeth Saddler. Jennie also had seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Tuesday, December 14th from 11:30 to 1. A graveside service will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cross Pointe Church of Madison.
