Funeral service for Mr. Vernon Roger Dupree, age 79, will be held on Tuesday December 14, 2021 at 2 PM in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN with Rev. Bryan Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery near Humboldt, TN. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday December 13, 2021 starting at 4 PM until 7 PM in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN.
Mr. Dupree, former employee of Lashlee-Rich Lumber Co. in Humboldt, TN, and member of New Shiloh Methodist Church, passed away on Friday December 10, 2021 at his home in Humboldt.
Mr. Dupree enjoyed camping, yard work, and old western movies but most of all he loved being a Dad.
Mr. Dupree was preceded in death by; his parents William and Nita (Standfield) Dupree; a sister Peggy Dupree; and two brothers Homer and Frankie Dupree.
Mr. Dupree is survived by: his wife Mattie (Walters) Dupree ; two sons Vernon Glen and wife Geraldine Dupree and Paul Guthrie and wife Donna Dupree all of Humboldt, TN; two brothers James Dupree of Alamo, TN and Tommy Dupree of Georgia; four grandchildren Renee Dupree , Justin and wife Cathy Dupree all of Milan Tn, Andrew Dupree of Alamo, TN and Dena and husband Cody Bell of Three-way , TN; four great grandchildren Jaiden, Malachi, Aaliyah, and Mary.
