Eleanor Jane Balch, 92, of Athens, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Limestone Health Facility.
Mrs. Balch was born September 10, 1929 in Limestone County to Harry Leonard and Mazie Christopher Leonard.
Her parents precede her in death, as well as her husband, Horace Balch, Jr., one daughter, Osta Leigh Leslie, one brother, Harry Fred Leonard, one sister-in-law, Martha Jo Leonard, one grandson, John Bailey, Jr., one great-grandson, Jacob Bailey.
Eleanor Jane Balch was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a Clerk for Chemistry at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant for 14 years.
Survivors include one son, Terry Balch and wife Elizabeth, of Athens; three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
