Shirley Hargrove passed quietly from this life into the Greater Life in Christ on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 after losing her battle to lung cancer.

She was welcomed into this world as the first born daughter of Stacey and Easter Tate. She grew up with her siblings: Kenneth, Connie, and Wendell.

Shirley will always be remembered as a woman with a heart of gold. She touched many lives with her big heart and kind ways. Her strong presence and helpful spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her.

She worked hard to make her life the best example she could of a good and faithful Christian woman. She was married to her husband Billy for over 58 years and together they raised twin daughters. They were blessed to have 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12-2pm Thursday December 2, 2021 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with funeral to follow at 2pm. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ardmore.

Shirley is survived by her husband Billy of Pulaski, and daughters: Melissa (Ronnie) Hedgecoth of Petersburg, TN, Teresa (Todd) Slagle of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandson Cody (Kayla) Gilliam of Midland, TX; granddaughter Erin (Jon) Ray of Lawrenceburg, TN; granddaughters Breylan Hedgecoth and Olivia Hedgecoth of Petersburg, TN; and great grandchildren Memphis and Charli Ray of Lawrenceburg, TN.
