John Lewis Carroll, 56, was born November 25, 1964 in Florence, Alabama to the late Andrew Connor Thomas and Mattie Louise
Russell.
He departed this life November 17, 2021, with his friends and family by his side at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield, AL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grand-parents, Frank and Easter Russell; two brothers, Robert King “Rock” Brewis, Jerry Wayne “Cornbread” Brewis, one sister, Ira Bell Roberson; two aunts, Ruth Inez Thompson and Jackie Simmons; three uncles, John Thomas Russell, Jimmy Lee Russell and Frank Russell.
John Lewis Carroll is survived by his three sons: Johnathon Eric Carroll, Matthew (Danielle), Caleb Horton and Zachary Tyler Horton; four sisters: Shirley Carroll, Catherine Barnett, Stephanie (Ronnie) Thomas Weakley, and Beverly Ann Thomas; two
brothers: Charles (Teresa) Carroll and Tommy Lee Brewer; two aunts: Annie Louise Russell and Joyce (Ross) Rhodes; two uncles: Percy Russell and William Earl Russell; a devoted friend, Dana Nichols, along with a host of other devoted friends and family.
