Mr. Robert Oliver “Junior” Saint, Jr., age 71, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021.
Mr. Saint was born on November 29, 1948, in Marshall County, Alabama to Robert Oliver Saint, Sr. and Ellon Shaver Saint. He grew up in Union Grove and moved to the Ruth Community where her lived for 34 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Union Grove and was a Mason at the Union Grove Lodge. He worked at Arab Electric Coop, Inc. for 43 years and retired as a Staking Engineer in 2014.
Junior loved bluegrass and gospel bluegrass music. He was a founding member of Canaan’s Crossing (formerly Jordan River) in 2000. He played mandolin, guitar, and sang for the group until 2007.
Mr. Saint leaves behind to celebrate his life, wife Lillian Saint; son, Mike Saint (Jackie); daughter, Angela Sparks (Chris); sister, Ruth Rush; grandchildren, Alex Sparks, Kacy Sparks, and Larkin Saint.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Saint is preceded in death by brothers, Ward Dunn and Ernie Dunn; sister Lottie Green.
A visitation will be held at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
A Service will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 with Brother Greg Narrell officiating.
Pallbearers assisting Mr. Saint to his final resting place will be Brandon Dunn, Kevin Dunn, Wesley Cantrell, Jason Hosch, Rob Prevallet, and Doug Hornsby.
