Pastor Richard A. Herron, 51 of Dora, went to be with the Lord on Monday November 8, 2021.
Brother Richard, along with his wife Leigh were Children’s Pastors at Dora Church of God. He was a Registered Nurse.
Funeral services will be Friday Nov. 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Dora Church of God. Pastor Lewis Smith and Rev. Johnny Sims will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday evening 6-8 pm at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Leon Herron and by his fathers-in-law, Leroy Wright and Charles Englebert.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Leigh Herron; his children, Brandon Sanders and Kayla, Hailey and Nicholas Herron; mother, Osta Herron; sister, Julie Cooper; mother-in-law, Helen Englebert; several other relatives, many friends and his church family.
