Graveside service for Delores Hood Hamilton, age 87, of Tanner, will be Tuesday, November 9, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with the family officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hamilton, who died Saturday, November 6, 2021, at her residence, was born July 23, 1934 in Indian Head, Maryland, to James Hood and Annie May Pearson Hood. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 46 years Wynn Hamilton; and two grandsons, Ryan Shaw, and Brent Shaw Jr.
She is survived by her son, Brent Shaw (Shantina) of Tanner; two grandsons, Cody Shaw, and Clay Shaw (Kamden) of Tanner.
Mrs. Hamilton spent most of life in Pecos, Texas where she retired from Security State Bank. In 2000 Mrs. Hamilton moved to Anthony Hill, Tennessee where she lived her retired years. Mrs. Hamilton has resided in Tanner, Alabama since 2015 to be surrounded by her family.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
