HARTSELLE-The Hartselle Police Department issued a statement in the arrest of The former pastor at the GracePoint Church in Decatur
“On November 5, 2021, Danny Duane Pitts, age 58, of Hartselle was arrested at his residence in Hartselle for a warrant issued subsequent to a Grand Jury Indictment by the Morgan County Grand Jury.
The Grand Jury charges Pitts with Sodomy in the first and second degrees. The arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the Hartselle Police Department, Morgan County District Attorney’s Office, and the F.B.I., and members of their North Alabama Violent Crimes Task Force. Pitts was transported to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and given a $500,000.00 bond.
